Chargepoly provides electric truck charging infrastructure for a major logistics firm in Québec

Canadian logistics and parcel delivery firm Nationex worked with electrical system installer Fize Électrique and EV charging solution provider Chargepoly to build charging infrastructure for a fleet of heavy-duty electric delivery vehicles.

Nationex operates what it describes as one of the largest electric fleets in Québec —the company recently celebrated the milestone of one million parcels delivered via EV. The newly electrified fleet provides transport services for distances of 250 km as well as last-mile parcel delivery, including in the winter months. The company calls this “a remarkable achievement which proves the viability of EVs for logistics fleets to move goods from seaport to doorstep.”

Nationex’s electrification project is part of the Québec-Montréal Corridor Vert initiative, a public-private partnership designed to electrify key transport corridors across Québec and into neighboring Ontario.

Chargepoly specializes in optimizing charging for medium- to heavy-duty fleet EVs. The company’s all-weather charging solution features charging units capable of delivering up to 400 kW of power. The company prides itself on its comprehensive level of service, which includes installation, optimization, operation and maintenance.

“When we began our electrification journey, we were told it wouldn’t work due to the long distance and harsh weather,” said Edwin Richard, Director of Special Projects and Sustainable Development at Nationex. “Our charging solution integrator Fize Électrique brought in Chargepoly because of their superior technology, working hand-in-hand with our team to ensure mutual success. Since the installation, our drivers have experienced a seamless transition to electric vehicles thanks to the user-friendly, reliable charging infrastructure. We are confident that Chargepoly’s solution will play a crucial role in achieving our mission to electrify 80% of our transport and delivery routes between Montreal and Ontario by next year.”
